A 15-year-old girl from Henan province, China, had a 2 kg hairball removed from her stomach after a six-year habit of pulling out and eating her own hair. Nicknamed Nini, she was extremely thin and suffered from severe stomach pain, leading to a visit to Wuhan Children’s Hospital. Doctors found that the hairball, which filled most of her stomach, caused her health issues, including anaemia and the absence of menstruation for six months.
