Google Assistant will no longer support a number of underutilized features to focus on improving quality and reliability.

Google is making changes to Google Assistant to prioritize quality and reliability. Some underutilized features will no longer be supported, and the microphone icon in the Google app will trigger search results instead of Assistant actions. Users will be prompted to upgrade the Google app for the latest Assistant version. Despite these changes, Google encourages users to provide feedback for further improvements.
