OpenAI has introduced a new feature called 'Read Aloud' for ChatGPT, allowing the AI chatbot to read its responses out loud. This feature aims to improve accessibility for users and is available on both web and mobile versions, offering five different voices to choose from. Additionally, this new capability adds to the existing voice chat feature introduced in September 2023, enhancing the overall user experience and establishing ChatGPT as a leading generative AI tool. The Read Aloud feature is currently being rolled out and will be available in 37 languages, with the ability to autodetect the conversation language. This move not only expands accessibility for blind or partially-sighted users but also provides another way for users to connect with the AI.
