Voting Glitch in Alabama's 2nd Congressional District

Alabama district citizens were sent incorrect voting information ahead of primary 🔗

Thousands of voters in Alabama's 2nd Congressional District received incorrect voting instructions ahead of the primary due to a software glitch. Despite this, affected voters were still able to cast their ballots for the correct candidates. The mistake was attributed to the district's redrawn boundaries, aimed at increasing the influence of the Black population in elections. Following the primary, Democratic candidates Anthony Daniels and Shomari Figures, as well as Republican candidates Caroleene Dobson and Dick Brewbaker, secured spots in future run-offs.
